Essential Job Function:

Familiarity with a wide variety of menus, drink recipes, wine and spirits knowledge, and is capable of delivering quality customer service. Responsible for serving up to five tables, as determined by management, in a friendly/fast manner.

Responsibilities:

• Serve up to five tables, as determined by management, in a friendly/fast manner
• Have complete knowledge of restaurant’s food and beverage preparation
• Ability to sell alcohol and food items
• Able to use a computer to ring orders on a check
• Able to accept different types of payment and make change
• Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant
• Ability to clear and reset tables, and run food from the kitchen
• Check identification of guests to ensure guests are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages; refuse to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age; observe guest’s behavior, count number of drinks served, and if the server feels they should not drive, offer a taxi. Do not hesitate to ask a manager to intervene
• Report to work in a neat and clean uniform; well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential

Experience:

• High school diploma
• 2 years’ experience working as a server
• Knowledge of Wine, Spirits and food
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills required
• High level of reliability
• Must have open availability
• Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
